Hathern Road, Shepshed

Scale: 10.9 ha, 270 units


HSL has submitted an outline planning application on land off Hathern Road in Shepshed. The proposals seek to deliver an enhanced green gateway to Shepshed and deliver:

  • 270 family homes
  • Over 80 affordable homes for rent or discounted purchase
  • 2ha of open space provision and multi-functional green spaces for young children and teenagers
  • Enhanced wildlife corridor
  • Improved access and connectively for pedestrians and cyclists, with links between the campus, community and town centre
  • Enhanced cycle links to Loughborough

HSL aims to create a sustainable, high quality neighbourhood, which has a strong sense of character and place that will be attractive for families looking to stay in the local area as well as encourage new residents to the town.

The proposals will ultimately seek to deliver economic, social and environmental benefits to Shepshed and help contribute to regeneration objectives of town centre.
