Hollins Strategic Land is promoting a 1.81 hectare site on the edge of Biddenham in Bedfordshire. The site lies immediately adjacent to the Bedford Urban Area boundary. The site is in a highly sustainable location, with easy access to public transport and local services and facilities. Our initial assessments show the delivery of around 40 homes is achievable to meet local needs.
The site offers the opportunity to round off the Bedford Urban Area boundary in a highly sustainable location which would mirror the surrounding existing and consented development character and densities so that there is a moderate density overall with a third of the site retained for open spaces and landscaping. The development will be offset from the western boundary to allow for a 10m green buffer along the existing public right of way. The proposals would offer a range of recreational benefits, including a children’s play space as well as providing for sustainable drainage systems incorporating features for wildlife.
The site is being promoted through the Bedford Local Plan 2040.
