The Plough, Crewe Road, Alsager
Scale: 3.95 ha, 70 units
HSL has submitted an outline planning application on land off Crewe Road in Alsager. This site is urban fringe in a sustainable location directly
adjacent to the Crewe Road development for which HSL achieved planning consent in 2012. The proposals seek to deliver:
- Up to 70 family homes
- Affordable homes for local people
- Creation of habitat and biodiversity enhancements
- Creation of a public open space and enhanced walking links providing opportunities for leisurely walks in Alsager
- Promoting biodiversity gain through pond, wildlife corridor and habitat creation
HSL submitted an appeal against Cheshire East Council for failure to give notice of its decision within the appropriate period. HSL met with the Council's Planning Officer, Tree Officer, Ecology Officer and Public Open Space Officer on 2 March 2015 to discuss the application proposals. The indicative masterplan and supporting documents were amended following these discussions and the plans and documents are available below.
