HSL is working with the landowners of five separate parcels of land located to the
south of Hazel Grove in Stockport, Greater Manchester. Following the construction
of the Manchester Airport Relief Road two of the sites were isolated on the Hazel
Grove side of the new road and development here would make for a logical
rounding-off of the settlement. Stockport has a significant and persistent shortfall in
the supply of new housing land and local housing needs are not being met. The
draft Stockport Local Plan will present an opportunity for the contribution these sites
can make to help meet the demand for new housing to be recognised.
