HSL was selected by the members of Gatley Golf Club to promote the failing 45 acre
golf course for residential-led development including nearly 280 new homes, a
community hub and theatre, allotments, tennis courts and some 27 acres of new
publicly accessible greenspace.
Planning permission was refused despite the recommendation for approval from Stockport Council officers. HSL appealed against the decision to the Planning Inspectorate and were successful in achieving planning consent.
The site was sold to Bellway Homes.
